Acceptance

Tonight at supper there was a letter waiting for me from Wilfred Laurier University. It was my MBA acceptance for September. I am super super excited. Probably more excited than I was when I was in high school and found out that I was accepted into engineering school.

I am interested in the innovation and entrepreneurship stream of the program. More specifically I would like to work on return on investment for reducing the fossil fuel/smell content of food production by making more complete use of manure.

As I might have already said, I am super excited! Lots of excitement as Christine's due date approaches tomorrow. If we don't get the call to head up to T-Bay tomorrow Joel, Dianne and I are going out for supper!

As my reader pointed out to my wife, it has been 4 months since I last blogged. I have a lot of ground to cover so I had best begin. Dianne and I are going to be grandparents, April 28th or so.

Christine is blessing us with a grandson. Christine and I went to Cuba in February for a pre Mommy vacation. Christine is also finishing her history degree with her last exam on April 22nd, (Junior willing)

We had Easter dinner at Tim and Fleur's on the Monday school holiday. The picture is a little older than that. I went with my canoe buddies to the Canadian Canoe Routes canoe symposium. Tim met me in the basement of MEC to borrow some cross-country skis.

Ben too is graduating this spring from a carpentry course. He thinks that he has a job already lined up starting as early as the 23rd. Ben liked a lot of things about carpentry, including forms, but Easter weekend he had drawings that he had to read spread all over the dining room table.

Joel has become inspired about being an educational assistant. Camp and the high school co-op program gave Joel a chance to try being an EA out and he loves it, and the students love him. Joel is currently doing an English upgrade at Conestogo. He has applied to start the EA program in September.

I am also hoping to go back to school part time. I took my GMAT on March 31st and have applied to Wilfred Laurier to start my MBA in September. I am interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. For this stream I was required to suggest a project. With lots of help from family and friends I proposed finding a return on investment to help reduce the carbon footprint of food as the problem that I would like to solve.

So hopefully my next blog will be grandson pictures with much less elapsed time!
